Five rooftops in San Miguel de Allende that you need to know about

Unleash your inner foodie on these incredible terraces, I'm sure you'll add them to your bucket list.

The gastronomic offer of San Miguel de Allende is so wide that when you visit it is difficult to choose where to try its culinary wonders.

1 La unica

Sea and earth cuisine with touches from the north of our country is the perfect pretext to have a good time at La unica, a space that combines the architectural charm of San Miguel, with other more industrial and contemporary nuances, mainly in its beverage bar.

Chef Gabriel León is in charge of the delicacies and his menu is capable of enchanting palates with its juicy arrachera, crispy octopus tatemado, ceviche or its asado with rice. But if desserts are your thing, you can't miss their Cordelion, a chocolate explosion in the form of mousse with red fruits and ice cream.

2 Trazo 1810

Located in the upper area of Hotel Boutique 1810, Trazo is a wonderful architectural oasis, its restaurant is simply unmissable, not only for its intimate atmosphere, but also for the fresh and multifaceted flavors of the Mediterranean combined with those of the Mexican coasts, all courtesy of chef Alan Carias.

We could suggest absolutely everything on the menu, but we'll stick with our favorites: the octopus salad with pine nuts, Parmesan cheese, basil, mushrooms, lemon and beet, accompanied by the grilled wild salmon, be sure to try them!

3 Quince Rooftop

If you like mixology nights, good music and good food, this rooftop is the hot spot you were looking for. While its terrace is a social meeting point to dance and experience new cocktails, its restaurant, run by chef Gonzalo Martinez, fuses Mexican cuisine with international variety.

Be sure to try their low-temperature Rib Eye, presented with huitlacoche sauce, rice, corn, squash blossom and epazote.

4 Lunas Rooftop Tapas Bar

In Rosewood San Miguel de Allende's comfortable hotel, this chicly charming bar will make you fall in love with its ochre and terracotta tones. It is a perfect place to watch the magical sunsets of the town.

Regarding its gastronomic offerings, as its name suggests, the house specialty is international tapas accompanied by a good glass of wine, margaritas, martinis and other cocktails.

5 Antonia Bistro

Comfort, intimacy and gourmet dishes come together on this terrace belonging to the Hotel El Palomar. Its ambience makes it the dream restaurant for romantic dinners.

Chef Alejandro Cuatepotzo prepares authentic wood-fired delicacies such as roasted rack of lamb, grilled New York cut and roasted pork chop.

The best part is that the products used to prepare the dishes are completely organic and prepared with traditional San Miguel techniques.
